October 6, 2018: The Alliance Francaise partner celebrates the End of World War I.

In the Hampton Roads, culture and History often walk hand-in-hand. In 1918, millions of American troops arrived on the Western Front in France. The Norfolk MacArthur Memorial’s upcoming World War I Symposium will evaluate the performance of American troops on the battlefield during the critical year 1918 and examine how this performance forever shaped American identity and perception of the war.
