In this colorful, French-inspired program, Music Director JoAnn Falletta leads the orchestra through the works of four French composers. Audiences will hear pieces by two members of Les Six. Tailleferre's Ouverture opens the concert before the VSO Chorus and guest soprano Ann Feutch, a Hampton Roads native, join the stage for Poulenc's Gloria. At the height of this captivating and chromatic concert, award-winning pianist Alain Lefèvre joins the VSO to perform André Mathieu's Piano Concerto No. 4. Finally, the concert climaxes with Ravel's reverred Boléro.
